Players from the Wests Tigers Pathways system gathered at Leichhardt Oval for the annual Wests Tigers Challenge, a critical event in the club's development calendar.
Junior representative teams from three catchment areas-Wests Tigers Macarthur, Group 6 Juniors, and Balmain District-competed throughout the day in four age groups from Under 13s to Under 16s, highlighting the depth of emerging talent in the club.
Bronson Harrison, the Pathways Manager for Balmain, remarked that the event was a significant opportunity to "unite the club's junior leagues and showcase the next generation of Wests Tigers talent." The format included round-robin games for all age groups, and the Under 16s match also served as a trial for selection into the White Cubs squad.
This representative team is set to travel to Queensland in September to face the Gold Coast Titans, further emphasizing the event's role in promoting young players within the club's system.
