The Wests Tigers have officially announced the signing of promising young forward Ethan Roberts on a two-year contract from the Sydney Roosters.

This confirmation follows a report by Zero Tackle, stating that a verbal agreement had been reached with the 20-year-old just a week prior.

Roberts, an Indigenous All-Star, is set to join the Tigers initially on a development contract in 2026. He will transition into the Top 30 for the 2027 season, after which he will have the opportunity to assess his future options.

"I'm really excited to work under Benji and alongside a great group of players," Roberts shared with the Tigers' website.

"Coming to the Wests Tigers is about my growth as a player both on and off the field and making a strong contribution to the culture and values of the club."

At 195 centimeters tall, Roberts is a versatile forward who has yet to make his NRL debut. He has progressed through the Roosters' development system, playing at various levels, including Harold Matthews, SG Ball, Jersey Flegg, and NSW Cup.
