Wests Tigers halfback Jarome Luai is prepared to play just 48 hours after Wednesday's State of Origin match in Perth.

He expressed his eagerness to coach Benji Marshall, stating, "put me in" for the upcoming game against Canberra.

Luai was a late addition to the NSW team following Mitchell Moses's injury during training last week.

After joining his teammates in Perth, he participated in the match, which ended in a narrow 26-24 loss but left him injury-free and cleared of disciplinary issues stemming from an alleged eye gouge.

Luai is eager to help the Tigers remain competitive for a top-eight finish.

When asked about Luai's potential participation, Marshall recounted their conversation: "I said 'How'd you pull up?' and he goes, 'I'm good to go, coach, put me in.'" While Marshall recognizes the importance of trusting experienced players, he also emphasized the need for a medical assessment and massage for Luai upon his return to ensure he's fit to play.
