Winger Jakiya Whitfeld had an outstanding performance for the Australian Prime Minister's XIII as they triumphed over their Papua New Guinea counterparts with a scoreline of 56-4.

Whitfeld, who played for the Wests Tigers in the NRLW season, showcased his abilities by scoring two tries in each half and accumulating over 200 meters in running.

Despite the comfortable victory for the visitors, it was a game that likely pleased PNG coach Ben Jeffries, considering their Test side's success in reaching the World Cup semi-finals the previous year.

The PNG PM's XIII displayed their defensive prowess with several impressive goal-line stands, which excited the passionate crowd in Port Moresby.

In the second half, Latoniya Norris managed to score a try, bringing the home crowd to their feet.

At halftime, the Australians held an 18-0 lead, with gusty conditions making it difficult to convert some of the tries.

Just before the break, Leila Kerowa came close to scoring for the hosts but unfortunately lost control of the ball while attempting to ground it.
