The Wests Tigers are gearing up for a battle at Leichhardt Oval as they aim to lock in their third consecutive victory on home turf in the 2024 season.

This Saturday, they will face off against the Melbourne Storm, a team with a less than stellar record at the 'eighth wonder' of Leichhardt Oval.

After impressive wins over the Titans and Raiders at both Leichhardt and Campbelltown, the Tigers are determined to maintain their winning streak and secure another crucial victory.

However, the Storm, sitting comfortably at the top of the NRL ladder, are coming in as the strong favourites for this clash.

In a boost to the Tigers' lineup, Charlie Staines and Heath Mason will be back in action, with the possibility of Justin Olam making a return to face his former team for the first time.

On the other side, the Storm will have star fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen back in their ranks, but will be missing winger Xavier Coates due to a hamstring injury and the absence of Harry Grant, who is still recovering from his Origin II appearance for Queensland.

As the Tigers gear up for Junior League Appreciation Round, players like Adam Doueihi and Alex Seyfarth will proudly represent Inner-West grassroots clubs like the Strathfield Raiders and Dundas Shamrocks.

It's set to be a thrilling showdown at Leichhardt Oval, with both teams hungry for victory in this upcoming clash.
