Ronnie Palmer, a rugby league cult hero, has been let go by the Tigers after being involved in NRL pre-seasons since 1971.

The experienced coach and trainer expressed his feelings of being "lost" after being informed by Tigers powerbrokers that his services were no longer required in Leichhardt.

Palmer, who made his debut for the Balmain Tigers and played 35 games, stated, "I feel quite a bit lost.

I haven't been in this situation since I was 21." The news of Palmer's departure has left fans and colleagues shocked, as he is considered an icon in the rugby league community.

Despite the setback, Palmer's legacy and impact on the sport are undeniable, and many are hopeful that he will find a new opportunity to continue his contributions to rugby league.
