Jarome Luai's knee injury will sideline him for a month, but his Wests Tigers teammate Adam Doueihi has received positive news regarding a hamstring concern and is expected to feature in the upcoming match.
After a difficult 20-16 defeat to South Sydney on Saturday, the Tigers appeared to face significant setbacks as both key halves left the field with injuries.
Luai injured his left knee during a kick chase in the second half, while Doueihi fell awkwardly while tackling in the closing minutes, visibly affected by his right hamstring.
On Monday, the club confirmed that Luai, serving as co-captain, faces a four-week recovery period due to a medial ligament injury. This timeline suggests he will miss matches against the Warriors, Parramatta, Newcastle, and Brisbane.
Conversely, Doueihi is on track to participate in Friday's fixture against the Warriors in Auckland after being assessed and cleared by the club's medical staff.
This news is a relief for Doueihi, who has a history of severe injuries, including three anterior cruciate ligament tears.
