The Wests Tigers have triumphed over the Eels with a solid 30-18 win at Leichhardt Oval in their final clash of the 2025 Witzer Pre-Season Challenge.

The Tigers came out of the gates roaring, with Tallyn Da Silva making a strong run towards the try line early on.

However, it was the Eels' fullback Isaiah Iongi who made the first breakthrough, slicing through from a scrum to score the opening points of the match.

In the 26th minute, a well-executed kick from halfback Adam Doueihi set up Brent Naden for a try.

Doueihi nailed the conversion to level the score at 6-6, before Jack Bird added to the Tigers' tally with a try of his own, thanks to an assist from Da Silva.

A setback came when Naden suffered an injury, causing a brief pause in play before the Eels capitalized with a try from winger Sean Russell.

However, the Tigers weren't done yet, showing great teamwork just before the half-time whistle.

Lachlan Galvin broke through the defense and combined with Doueihi to set up Jeral Skelton for a fantastic team try.

The Tigers displayed determination and skill on the field, earning a well-deserved victory over their rivals.

With the season just around the corner, this win will surely boost their confidence and set the tone for what promises to be an exciting year of Rugby League action.
