In a thrilling display of grit and determination, the Wests Tigers' NSW Women's Premiership team battled to a hard-earned 16-16 draw against Mounties at Campbelltown.
The clash had all the intensity of a State of Origin match, with both teams giving it their all on the field.
The match kicked off in spectacular fashion, with Chelsea Savill, a rising star and NSW Origin representative, scoring a try in the opening minute.
But Mounties quickly fired back through Elise Smith, showing they were not going down without a fight.
Despite Mounties taking a narrow lead with a try from Sonia Mose in the left corner, the Wests Tigers refused to back down.
With a period of sustained pressure, they clawed their way back and secured a half-time lead.
It was a tense moment when Savill was held up over the line, but the team's persistence paid off when Evie McGrath set up Rebecca Pollard for a crucial try from a short-side scrum play.
The momentum continued to swing in Wests Tigers' favor in the second half, with halfback Darcy Eade's remarkable 39th-minute try and Savill's conversion extending their lead to 16-8.
However, Mounties fought back with tries of their own from Brooke Wilkins and Georgia Willey, though their conversions attempts were unsuccessful, leaving the final score tied at 16-16.
This game was a true testament to the resilience and skill of both teams, a classic display of Rugby League at its finest.
The Wests Tigers may not have secured the win, but they certainly showed they are a force to be reckoned with in the competition.
