Tigers Announce New NRLW Coach

After the recent departure of Brett Kimmorley as head coach, the Wests Tigers women's team has appointed a new leader for the upcoming two seasons.

Craig Sandercock has been selected to guide the team, aiming to elevate the back-to-back wooden spooners out of the NRLW's lower ranks in a league that continues to improve annually.

With extensive rugby league experience, Sandercock previously coached the Wyong Roos and has been involved with the Canterbury Bulldogs' women's team, the Newcastle Knights, and even the Tigers in the past.

His contributions to establishing the Bulldogs women's program are regarded as significant, suggesting a bright future for the Tigers as they strive for resurgence by 2026.

Tigers CEO Shane Richardson expressed enthusiasm about Sandercock's appointment and emphasized the club's commitment to advancing its women's program through increased investment and growth.

"There was a significant amount of interest in this role," Richardson commented in a club statement.

"We went through a rigorous recruitment process with a very strong field of candidates."
