In a disappointing turn of events, the NZ Warriors suffered their heaviest defeat of the season in their 25th-round clash against the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles at Daniel Anderson Stadium.

This loss has put their hold on second spot in the New South Wales Cup in jeopardy.

Prior to the match, the Warriors were sitting comfortably in second place with 31 points, only one point ahead of South Sydney in third.

However, the Sea Eagles, who were in seventh place, were determined to secure a late push for a spot in the top five.

They dominated the game from the start, leaving the Warriors struggling to make an impact.

By halftime, the Sea Eagles were already ahead by 18 points, with the Warriors unable to assert themselves.

The second half started just as poorly for the Warriors, with the Sea Eagles scoring two more tries to extend their lead to 26-0 with 30 minutes left to play.

It wasn't until the 56th minute that the Warriors managed to finally get on the scoreboard, thanks to a try from Jacob Laban.
