Melbourne Storm has teamed up with The Inclusion Project to ensure that the match day experience in 2025 is accessible for everyone, especially those living with hidden disabilities.
Just like in a tight game of footy, going to watch Storm can be full of excitement.
But for some, navigating the bustling atmosphere at AAMI Park can be like trying to break through a tough defensive line.
The partnership aims to make sure that all fans, regardless of their sensory needs, can enjoy the game without feeling overwhelmed.
The big play in this partnership is the construction of a permanent Sensory Room at AAMI Park, where fans can find some relief and regulation during the game.
Managed by an Occupational Therapist from The Inclusion Project, this room will provide personalized support and guidance throughout the matchday experience.
In a move akin to a strategic offload, Storm will also be creating employment opportunities for casual staff with disabilities.
These staff members will be on hand in various departments, such as membership and community, to help enhance the matchday experience and make sure that Storm's game plan is executed flawlessly.
