The Roosters soar towards a greener future

The Sydney Roosters, in partnership with Easts Group, have proudly announced their membership in the Net Zero Alliance.

This alliance aims to support and assist Waverley Council in reaching its goal of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035.

The announcement was made on the Roosters' official website, roosters.com.au.

Easts, along with other founding members of the alliance, have expressed their dedication to working closely with the Council and each other.

Their main objective is to make sustainability second nature in order to benefit not only the Waverley community but also the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney as a whole.

Mayor Paula Masselos of Waverley has outlined the Council's plan to achieve net zero emissions.

This plan includes making changes to development control plans, implementing low emissions transport, and fostering collaborative efforts with alliance members to expedite positive outcomes.

Joe Kelly, the CEO of both the Sydney Roosters and Easts Group, has emphasized the club's commitment to taking climate action.

He also expressed the desire to work closely with the local community to promote the betterment of Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.

The Net Zero Alliance is a significant step towards a more sustainable future for the Waverley community and the wider Sydney area.

By joining forces with the council, the Sydney Roosters and Easts Group are demonstrating their dedication to environmental responsibility and their commitment to making a positive impact on the local community.
