The Dragons have been taken down by the Roosters in a tough 28-8 battle during the exciting Convoy Round double-header on Sunday.

In the first half, there were glimmers of hope for the Dragons as Teagan Berry, Alice Gregory, and skipper Raecene McGregor showed some impressive moves, with McGregor setting up Kimberley Hunt for the team's first try.

However, the Red V faithful were left wanting more as the Roosters dominated the game.

Despite a strong debut performance from Gregory, the Dragons faced more challenges with injuries, as Bobbi Law suffered a facial cut and failed a head injury assessment.

With already three starters missing in action, the Dragons' depth was put to the test.

The Roosters managed to hold off the Dragons' attacks on their try line, showcasing their defensive prowess.

Unfortunately, Law's injury halted the Dragons' momentum, allowing the Roosters to take advantage.

In a swift backline play near the try line, Roosters' centre Isabelle Kelly broke through the defense to score her first try of the match, extending the lead with a successful conversion.

Despite a valiant effort from the Dragons, the Roosters proved too strong on the day.
