In a stunning announcement, Broncos head honcho Kevin Walters has lifted the lid on his plans to unleash teenage prodigy Benjamin Te Kura onto the NRL stage in 2024.
Hailed as one of the most promising young stars in rugby league, the 19-year-old powerhouse has already drawn comparisons to the mighty Payne Haas, but with a towering stature of 205cm and an imposing 122kg frame, Te Kura may just unseat him as the league's resident giant.
With his Queensland Under 19s credentials firmly cementing his standing, the exciting youngster is primed to create a whirlwind of havoc in the upcoming season.
Having come agonizingly close to securing his NRL debut last year, Walters has now confirmed that Te Kura will finally earn his stripes, following the departures of Thomas Fleger, Kurt Capewell, and Keenan Palasia.
Walters himself could hardly contain his admiration, admitting, "Most people are tall for me, but he's exceptional." Get ready league fans, because Benjamin Te Kura is about to deliver a masterclass in bone-crushing tackles and lightning-fast footwork that will undoubtedly leave opponents in his dust.
