In what can only be described as a blast from the past, rugby league legend Paul 'Fatty' Vautin finds himself once again involved in the promotion of the sport, this time in the United States.

The NRL's upcoming event in Las Vegas has caught the attention of Vautin, who is no stranger to American-themed antics.

In fact, he famously dressed up as a Confederate while his good mate Noel Cleal portrayed a Yankee, all in the name of rugby league.

These two Manly teammates-turned-rivals are set to add even more spice to an already heated State of Origin rivalry.

Vautin, a dedicated Maroon, and Cleal, a tough Blues second-rower, became fierce opponents during Origin clashes.

But as fate would have it, they went on to share premiership glory shortly after their iconic duel in dress-ups.

It's a reminder of the rich history and fierce competition that exists between the states in the rugby league landscape.

As the NRL heads to Las Vegas, it's only fitting that two rugby league icons, Fatty and Crusher, are leading the charge in promoting the sport on an international stage.
