Tevaga jazzes up NRL future with Warriors exit

In a move that could send shockwaves through the Rugby League world, Jazz Tevaga, the formidable force from the New Zealand Warriors, has officially announced his departure from the club at the close of the 2024 NRL season.

Speculation is rife as to where Tevaga's talents will be unleashed next, but one thing's for certain - he won't be donning the black and white jersey in Auckland where he's been a mainstay since his NRL debut back in 2016.

With 133 games under his belt in the nine seasons he's dedicated to the Warriors, Tevaga opened up on the League of the Own podcast, revealing the bittersweet decision.

"I'm not gonna be part of the pack here next year, mate.

The club and I have had a yarn and agreed it's time to part ways, which is all good.

They've been true blue to me and I'll always be grateful for the chance they've given me," Tevaga reflected.

"It was a tough nut to crack when I first heard the news.

But, hey, I'm revved up for a fresh start, mate.

Gotta finish this season strong and then see where the footy gods take me over the coming weeks."
