Jeziah Papa, a promising teenager yet to turn 18, is making waves with Sydney Roosters officials. He has recently progressed to the Under-21s Jersey Flegg Cup, showcasing his talent on the rugby league field.

In recent seasons, the Sydney Roosters have boasted an array of exceptional talents from their pathways system, including Robert Toia, who debuted for the QLD Maroons in State of Origin after just 10 matches.

With the loss of key outside backs like Joseph Manu and Joseph Suaalii over the past year, a fresh group of rookies has stepped up. Players such as Toia, Tom Rodwell, Ethan King, and Reece Foley are crucial in maintaining the Roosters' competitiveness amidst these changes.

Among these emerging prospects is Papa, who made his debut in the Under-21 Jersey Flegg Cup last week after starting the season in the Under-17s Harold Matthews Cup competition.

"I'm the youngest one and I was a bit shy coming through, but the boys made me feel comfortable and they really spoke to me and made me feel like I was in the team," Papa told Zero Tackle.

Earlier this year, he was recognized as the second-best schoolboy prospect, according to The Daily Telegraph, with only Heamasi Makasini rated higher. At just 17 years old, Papa stands out as a dynamic player, primarily competing in the centers or at five-eighth.
