Roosters skipper James Tedesco is under pressure to shake up his game following a string of NRL concussions, in what some are calling a "must-win" situation.

Rugby League legends like Andrew Johns and Billy Slater are rallying for Tedesco to adjust his tackling technique after suffering his tenth head injury.

During the Tri Colours' recent clash with the Bulldogs, Tedesco took a hard hit while trying to bring down Viliame Kikau.

The collision left Tedesco seeing stars and forced him to exit the game early for medical attention.

Unfortunately for the Blues fullback, this latest concussion marks his seventh in just three seasons, putting his future in the sport in jeopardy.

Experts like Johns believe that Tedesco's tackling woes stem from a lack of focus on technique.

"He takes his eyes off the target," noted Johns on Nine's The Sunday Footy Show.

"You've got to keep your chin on your chest but you've still got to keep your eye on the target.

Teddy (Tedesco) gets into this situation with his last two steps as he drops his head."

With the Roosters set to face off against the Knights next, the pressure is on for Tedesco to heed the advice of Rugby League greats and make the necessary adjustments to protect his long-term health and career prospects on the field.
