The NRL MVP race has intensified following Round 9's Magic Round, with six players achieving perfect scores.

Terrell May remains the overall leader, earning 13 votes during the Tigers' win against the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Notably, Jahream Bula's outstanding performance moved him into a tie for tenth place overall.

Bula is joined by James Tedesco, who now holds second place, along with Nicho Hynes, Fletcher Sharpe, Jacob Kiraz, and Nathan Cleary, all of whom received 20 votes.

Other notable players, including Sua Fa'alogo, Kaeo Weekes, Luke Metcalf, and Erin Clark, also earned best on ground nominations from at least one judge.

Tedesco's 20 votes place him 18 votes behind May's lead.

Payne Haas and Hudson Young occupy the third and fourth spots, while William Kennedy is rapidly gaining ground with consistent vote totals in recent weeks.

The voting process involves four judges from Zero Tackle's team-founder Matt Clements, writers Ethan Lee Chalk and Dan Nichols, and the editor-who assign votes based on a 5-4-3-2-1 system for each game.

Results are published weekly.
