Tedesco set to commit long-term future with Roosters

Sydney Roosters' star fullback James Tedesco is gearing up to extend his career with the club by signing on for another 12 months, pushing his playing days into 2026.

Currently set to hit free agency after the 2025 NRL season, Tedesco has been in talks with the tri-colours to secure his future in recent weeks.

Rumors swirled about potential interest from the Roosters in Kalyn Ponga from the struggling Newcastle Knights, but it seems Tedesco is the top priority for the club.

With contract negotiations temporarily on hold until the end of the season, Tedesco is expected to have his new deal in place before the pre-season kicks off.

It's a relief for Roosters fans, who were worried about losing their star player to a rival team.

But it looks like Tedesco is committed to the Roosters for the long haul, ready to tackle whatever challenges come his way on the field.
