Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco has tipped a rising star to shine in the 2025 NRL season as the team looks to turn the page after saying goodbye to a number of key players.
After a crushing defeat in the 2024 NRL Finals at the hands of the Melbourne Storm, the Roosters are set to unveil a revamped lineup next season following the departure of some big names under coach Trent Robinson.
With Joseph Suaalii and Joseph Manu heading off to rugby union and Sitili Tupouniua joining the Bulldogs, and retirements from Luke Keary, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, and Michael Jennings, the Roosters will have a different look in the upcoming season.
Despite setbacks like Brandon Smith and Sam Walker being sidelined for the start of the season, the Roosters are aiming to reclaim their status as one of the league's powerhouses.
Injuries and player movements have created opportunities for new faces to step up and make their mark in the NRL arena, and Tedesco sees the potential for a rising star to emerge and make a name for themselves in the tough world of Rugby League.
