Sydney Roosters fullback James Tedesco has officially stated his desire to continue playing for at least two to three more seasons.
There were rumors suggesting he might retire at the conclusion of his current contract, which ends in 2026. However, Tedesco has had a remarkable season and is a strong contender for the Dally M Medal, demonstrating that he is not slowing down any time soon.
Initially, it appeared the Roosters might face a crowded competition for the fullback position. However, with the departures of Joseph Manu and Joseph Suaalii, Tedesco now occupies the role without any contest.
While the Roosters have recently been linked to a potential acquisition of Cody Ramsey, Tedesco is committed to finishing his career as the fullback for the Bondi-based team. He conveyed his commitment during a recent interview with Channel 9, affirming that he has no plans to retire.
"People have probably asked me that over the last couple of years, and my body and my mind hasn't changed," Tedesco remarked. "I think as long as I'm enjoying my footy, the sky is the limit, I guess. I haven't felt like that this is enough for me or that I've had enough."
"I've been loving going into training every day, and when I start to lose that, I'll have a good think about it."
