Warriors playmaker Luke Metcalf is leading the Dally M Medal race as voting goes behind closed doors, while Roosters star James Tedesco is rapidly closing in after an impressive performance against the Sharks\.

According to nrl.com.au, Metcalf garnered one point in his team's recent loss to the Raiders, bringing his total to 31 points\.

Tedesco, on the other hand, earned four points, advancing to a total of 28 points and placing third on the leaderboard\.

Will Kennedy, the Sharks fullback, sits between them with 29 points\.

Tedesco aims for his second Dally M Medal, having won it in 2019, while Metcalf hopes to become only the second Warrior to achieve this honor, following Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in 2018\.

Additionally, Dolphins halfback Isaiya Katoa made a significant move in Round 12, scoring six points in a dominating win against the Bulldogs\.

Eels' Dean Hawkins also stood out with four try assists and six Dally M points in Parramatta's emphatic victory over Manly\.

With the voting now silenced for the remainder of the regular season, the winner will be announced at the illustrious Dally M Medal ceremony during NRL grand final week.
