St George Illawarra Dragons standout and Queensland Maroons representative Jaydn Su'A is generating significant interest from multiple overseas rugby union clubs.
Despite the Dragons not reaching NRL Finals since 2018, Su'A has maintained a strong presence in the competition since joining the club in 2022.
As one of the top performers at the Red V, the 28-year-old is approaching the end of his contract and may enter the open market on November 1, should he choose to decline his player option.
Earlier this year, he drew the attention of R360, along with notable players like Ryan Papenhuyzen and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. News Corp has now reported that rugby union clubs are also showing interest in the Dragons' talented back-rower.
Although it seems unlikely that the eight-time Samoan international would transition from rugby league to rugby union, his junior experience in the sport and the potential for a significant salary increase make this an intriguing option, particularly with the upcoming 2027 Rugby World Cup on the horizon.
"Flanno's been really good, especially for me personally," Su'A mentioned in a past interview with The Illawarra Mercury regarding his relationship with coach Shane Flanagan. "He's really honest. He tells you things that sometimes you don't want to hear, but sometimes it's what you need to hear."
