Tallis Speaks on Broncos Coaching Shakeup

Gorden Tallis, the recently ousted Broncos icon, has expressed his thoughts on the unexpected resignation of assistant coach Ben Te'o.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a heated exchange occurred between Te'o and head coach Michael Maguire prior to the team's recent victory in Melbourne.

This confrontation led to an urgent meeting, but the two could not mend their differences, prompting Te'o to resign from his position within the Broncos coaching staff.

Following the club's recent move to remove Tallis's name from a press conference room at their new $27 million facility, he has shared his insights on the future direction of the team.

Tallis advocates for the return of Allan Langer as an assistant coach, believing Langer's previous influence on the club's culture and passion is vital for its future.

"It's strange, I'm sure not every coach and assistant coach see eye-to-eye on how they're going and what they're doing every week," Tallis remarked on NRL360.

"It's strange with the success they've had that the relationship has split apart.

"I'm shocked, he's just re-signed … they thought there could have been a dynasty. Four rounds in, he's decided to leave. I heard Ben is comfortable with his decision.

"Madge has asked me to come in the four walls and I've declined."
