The Manly Sea Eagles are in discussions to extend Tommy Talau's contract, with the outside back expressing his desire to remain at the Northern Beaches beyond the current season. Talau, who previously played for the Wests Tigers, is among eight Sea Eagles players without contracts for the 2026 NRL season.

As reported by News Corp, negotiations are ongoing for a one-year deal to keep Talau with the Sea Eagles, who have already lost four players to other clubs. The departing players include Aitasi James (North Sydney Bears), Jazz Tevaga (Wakefield Trinity), Jake Arthur (Newcastle Knights), and Toafofoa Sipley (Warrington Wolves).

At 25 years old, Talau has accumulated 33 first-grade appearances since joining the club in 2024, tallying 20 tries. However, his performance in 2025 has seen him score just twice, spending a considerable amount of time in the NSW Cup.

"Obviously, I'd love to stay," Talau mentioned in an interview with The Daily Telegraph.
