In an epic elimination final between the Raiders and the Knights, Jack Wighton, who will be joining the Rabbitohs next season, has been sent straight to the NRL judiciary for an alleged bite on Tyson Gamble.

Despite replays clearly showing Wighton's mouth around Gamble's arm, he was allowed to continue playing.

Referee Ashley Klein placed the incident on report but did not send Wighton off, despite calls from the crowd.

Wighton protested, saying, "I can't move my mouth.

He's got to move his arm." Gamble, who made the official complaint on the field, refused to comment after the game, simply stating, "I'm just going to leave that on the field." The Rabbitohs may potentially be without their marquee signing at the beginning of the 2024 season if Wighton is found guilty by the judiciary.
