Tabuai-Fidow Considering Switch from Kangaroos to Samoa
Dolphins and Queensland State of Origin star Hamiso Tabua-Fidow is contemplating leaving the Kangaroos to represent Samoa in this year's international matches.
According to reports from zerotackle.com, the versatile player, who has taken on roles as a centre, wing, and fullback during the victorious 2025 State of Origin series, is eligible to play for both Australia and Samoa.
Despite having played for the Kangaroos in the 2024 Pacific Championships, Tabua-Fidow is one of three players now considering a switch to the Samoan national team.
Along with him, state teammates Payne Haas and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui are also weighing their options.
Haas has previously expressed interest in playing for Samoa, while Fa'asuamaleaui, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, is expected to be fit for international duties later in the year.
Tabua-Fidow has previously represented Samoa in one Test at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup.
In contrast, Fa'asuamaleaui played a Test for Samoa in 2019, and Haas has yet to earn a cap for the nation.
