Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, the dynamic player from the Dolphins, will miss the upcoming rugby league Test matches due to a knee injury sustained during the team's final NRL game.

Tabuai-Fidow, affectionately known as "Hammer," had an impressive performance, scoring a hat-trick in the Dolphins' 62-24 victory over Canberra. However, he sustained an injury in the second half, leading to his departure from the field.

Following medical examinations, it was confirmed that he has a grade three tear of his medial collateral ligament (MCL).

In a statement, the Dolphins announced that Tabuai-Fidow has been "ruled out of the upcoming Pacific Championships."

The club further noted, "The Hammer is expected to be ruled out for approximately eight weeks, ruling him out of the tournament."

Tabuai-Fidow is expected to begin his pre-season training in November after completing his rehabilitation.

Prior to his injury, there was speculation about whether the 24-year-old would choose to represent Australia in the upcoming Ashes tour or Samoa in the Pacific Cup.

Reports indicate that he was leaning towards Samoa, a sentiment that has since been confirmed by the Dolphins' announcement.
