Millie Elliott can leave the Roosters with a fifth premiership next Sunday, matching Glenn Lazarus's five titles, in what will be her final NRLW game.
Elliott has won four titles across three clubs: the Broncos in 2019 and 2020, Newcastle in 2022 and the Roosters in 2024.
The Roosters' main motivation is avenging their 22-18 loss to the Broncos in last year's grand final, Olivia Kernick told AAP.
"We've done a great job in retaining the players but there's a big mindset, a big shift this year," Kernick told AAP.
"We lost a grand final and that really stings, really hurts, and it stays with you the whole next year until you get the chance to redeem yourself.
"We've had a lot of grit this year working towards the end goal and that's to win the grand final next week."
Twelve players from last year's squad remain, while retirees Corban Baxter and Elliott will play their final match.
Tarryn Aiken and Taina Navidi are also back after missing the 2025 decider with ACL injuries.
The Roosters reached their sixth grand final since the NRLW began in 2018, having won two of their previous five, in 2021 and 2024.
Kernick made 44 tackles and ran for 141 metres in Saturday's 20-10 preliminary-final win over the Raiders.
Elliott gained 175 metres, broke four tackles and made 71 post-contact metres in 50 minutes.
"They have been great influencers in my career and the best thing is I get to keep their friendship even though I won't be playing with them next year," Kernick said of Elliott and Baxter.
"But for what they've done for this club and the women's game, it's even more reason to want to win the grand final for them."
