In a move that has sent shockwaves through the Rugby League world, James Tedesco has reportedly inked a new deal with the Sydney Roosters, putting an end to any speculation of a potential move to the Bondi club.
This signing is a real game-changer for the Roosters, who have been unusually quiet on the recruitment front lately.
According to reports, Tedesco has committed to staying with the Roosters until the end of 2026, securing his future with the club for the foreseeable future.
The star fullback, who will be 32 by the end of his contract, has shown no signs of slowing down and is confident that he still has plenty to offer on the field.
"I'm not worried about my age," Tedesco stated confidently.
"I know what I'm capable of and I'm determined to keep performing at a high level for the Roosters."
This re-signing comes on the heels of some disappointments for the Roosters, including missing out on Ben Hunt and allowing Terrell May to walk to the Wests Tigers.
With a number of key players departing in the off-season, there were concerns about the Roosters' prospects for the upcoming season.
However, Tedesco's commitment to the club has injected a sense of optimism among fans and has raised hopes for a successful campaign in 2025.
