Cove Bar & Grill was recently recognized at the ClubsNSW Perfect Plate Awards, securing second place in the dessert category despite falling short of a fifth consecutive regional win.
The venue's standout dessert, the Dubai Chocolate Gelato, crafted by head chef Anita Lisson, was celebrated during the award ceremony at Panthers League Club.
The gelato features a delightful combination of pure pistachio cream, shredded kataifi, sweetened milk, and fresh strawberries, and is available for $18 to members.
The main prize went to Kiama Leagues Club's Sails Bistro, while Cove Bar & Grill, owned by Gina Louloudakis, aimed for another win in the Southern Metro main dish category with their tempting Humpty Doo Barramundi, paired with roast herb chat potatoes and burnt butter.
Although they did not win this category, with The Pinnacle at South Hurstville RSL Club taking the top honor, the Humpty Doo Barramundi continues to receive excellent feedback from patrons.
The winners at the Perfect Plate Awards were determined by diners who rated eligible dishes from one to five through a QR code system, with the highest average scores in each category recognized at the event.
