Support Grows for Folau's NRL Return

Max King, a prop for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, is eager to see Israel Folau make a comeback in the NRL and believes the league should reconsider its decision to prevent him from returning.

Folau was on the verge of joining the Wests Tigers in a mid-season switch, which would have marked his return to the sport after 16 years, but discussions broke down when he was reportedly obstructed by key figures within the governing body.

Maria, Folau's wife, took to social media to share that Israel faced challenges in his quest to return to the league.

She expressed that having Folau on the team could be seen as a distraction for the club as it contends for a Top 8 position, while also voicing concerns regarding the "inclusiveness" exhibited toward her husband.

Folau's lucrative contract with Rugby Australia was terminated in 2019 after he violated the Professional Players' Code of Conduct, following a controversial post related to Christianity and homosexuality.

However, King, who is also a Christian and plays in the NRL, has expressed his support for the dual-international, stating that many fans would welcome his return and emphasizing the importance of valuing his beliefs.
