An amused Ricky Stuart finds it challenging to understand the recent fluctuating performances of the Canberra Raiders as they gear up for challenging weather against St George Illawarra.
The Raiders have shown remarkable resilience, winning the second halves of their last two matches by an impressive margin of 54-0, yet they lost the first halves of those games against Parramatta and Newcastle by a close score of 34-30.
"I don't know. I don't know," Stuart chuckled when asked about the team's dramatic shifts in performance during matches.
"You've got to take what it is. There's times there when we have got to good leads and been run down, and then we've run down leads. We're certainly very versatile."
Stuart, known for his intense passion in the NRL, anticipates less emotional upheaval in their matchup in Wollongong on Saturday night.
"But it's not going to be," he remarked.
"You look at last night's game (Melbourne's tight win over 15th-placed Parramatta). Everyone thinks certain teams are just going to roll through other teams. It's not the case."
