Raiders Eye Maiden Finals Spot

Grace and will: Four years of toil has Raiders on verge of history

The Canberra Raiders are on the verge of achieving their first finals series, a milestone within their existence in the NRLW since 2023. Prop Grace Kemp emphasizes her unwavering pre-game routine, regardless of the pressure of the upcoming match.

With a potential to finish as high as fifth in the league, the Raiders must secure a win over the Wests Tigers. Even a loss might not eliminate them, thanks to a better points differential compared to the Warriors.

Kemp, who has been dedicated to the Raiders since they began, treats the upcoming game at Leichhardt Oval like her prior 36 matches. Her routine involves personal touches like wearing a pink bow in her hair, shopping, and ensuring her steak is perfectly cooked the night before.

"It's exciting. This year has felt really different. We've got such a different vibe in the group," Kemp shared with NRL.com, highlighting how bonded the team has become this season.

Kemp praises the commitment shared among teammates, stating, "We've always known that the girl next to us, the club that we're in, the team that we're in, the support that we have, we can go all the way."

She added, "We're still in the mindset, we've got to show up for each other, got to show up for the club." As the finals loom, this sense of unity continues to drive their efforts on and off the field.
