In a significant update for the NZ Warriors, prop Tanner Stowers-Smith has made his debut, becoming Warrior #292 during the round 11 NRL match against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium.
The match kicks off at 3:00 PM local time (5:00 PM NZT).
Head coach Andrew Webster confirmed late changes just an hour before the match, including moving Kurt Capewell back to the centres after initially listing him in the second row.
This adjustment allowed Marata Niukore to return to the second row, as he had been switched to the interchange.
Stowers-Smith has stepped in from the revised squad where he was initially named as the 19th man.
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will start on the wing, a position he held earlier in the season's first three rounds, resulting in fill-in winger Taine Tuaupiki being designated as the 19th man.
Interestingly, the squad named for the match featured eight players with hyphenated names, including Stowers-Smith, Tuivasa-Sheck, and Fisher-Harris.
Others included Charnze Nicoll-Klostad, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Chanel Harris-Tavita, Eddie Ieremia-Toeava, and Moala Graham-Taufa.
With Tuivasa-Sheck's return to the wing, Webster is now able to field his first-choice back three for the first time this season alongside fullback Nicholl-Klokstad and winger Watene-Zelezniak.
