'The Melbourne Storm has decided to pass on a trip to Las Vegas in 2025, citing that the timing just isn't right for them.

The club, which was once considered a top contender to kick off the 2025 season in America, has officially withdrawn from the running.

Earlier this year, the NRL made waves with a successful double-header at Allegiant Stadium, featuring powerhouse teams like the Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles, Broncos, and Roosters.

This event was part of a larger commitment to bring Rugby League to new regions.

While speculation swirls about which clubs will be selected to play in Las Vegas next year, teams like the Panthers, Raiders, Sharks, and Warriors are said to be leading the pack.

Fans can expect an announcement from the NRL soon to give them ample time to make travel plans.

As for the Storm, they've bowed out of contention after carefully considering their options.

In a statement released on Friday, the club explained that after reviewing the terms and conditions laid out by the NRL, they've chosen to focus on their preparations closer to home.

Although the Storm won't be hitting the Vegas strip next year, they haven't completely ruled out the possibility in the future.

For now, they are turning their attention to Fiji, where they recently played a trial game against the Knights.

In the world of Rugby League, sometimes you have to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em.

It seems that for the Storm, the cards just didn't fall in their favor this time around.'
