Cameron Munster, the Melbourne Storm's star five-eighth, is gearing up for some off-field action as he prepares to undergo surgery at the end of the season.
Munster, who has been sidelined since Magic Round and missed the 2024 State of Origin series, is set to take a break to address his hip issues.
Despite Munster's absence, the Storm have weathered the storm with players like Tyran Wishart stepping up to the plate.
Grant Anderson, Jack Howarth, Bronson Garlick, and Sua Fa'alogo have also played key roles in keeping the Storm's title hopes alive, while Munster's halves partner Jahrome Hughes has been on fire.
In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Munster disclosed that he will be undergoing double hip surgery to relieve pressure on his groin and will be out of action for 9-10 weeks.
Unfortunately, this means he will not be able to represent the Australian Kangaroos at the end of the season, opening up an opportunity for Jarome Luai to shine for Samoa.
As Munster prepares to go under the knife, the Storm will be looking to maintain their winning streak and secure their spot as genuine title contenders in the rugby league world.
