Melbourne Storm is gearing up to back the next wave of footy stars by bringing their top-notch high-performance program to schools all across Victoria.
It's all about nurturing those young talents who dream of one day gracing the NRL field.
Following the launch of the 'Road to AAMI Park' pathway initiative, which includes the formation of the Storm Academy and Junior Representative teams, the club is now set to amp up their efforts by sending their expert coaches and staff to four rugby league academy schools.
Mt Ridley College, Hallam Secondary College, The Grange P-12 College, and Victoria University Secondary College are all on the list to benefit from Storm's program.
Leading the charge will be Storm's Academy Coach, Matt Duffie, along with Pathways Coach, Mark Russell, Pathways Performance Coach, Nick Le Comte, Dietician Georgia Walker, and Wellbeing Coordinator Dylan Wolfgramm.
These footy aficionados will be hitting the ground running in term two and three this year, delivering their knowledge and skills to the eager young players.
And that's not all - rumor has it that we might just see some current Melbourne Storm NRL players dropping by for a surprise visit during the program.
In fact, former Storm legend and Queensland State of Origin hero, Nate Myles, is already lending his expertise to the rugby league program at Hallam College.
So, watch out Victoria, because Melbourne Storm is on a mission to uncover the next big thing in the world of NRL.
It's all about laying the foundations for success and inspiring young athletes to chase their dreams - one training session at a time.
