Melbourne Storm's Jersey Flegg side had a thrilling victory over the Wests Tigers in Round 24, giving their finals hopes a significant boost.
Despite trailing at halftime, Storm managed to turn the game around with winger Oscar Amosa's last-minute try.
The turning point came when halfback Keagan Russell-Smith put Storm ahead through a penalty goal in the 63rd minute.
After having a bye week, Storm went to Sydney with the aim of securing their position in the top-6 for the final three rounds of the regular season.
They quickly made their presence felt in the game, with Angus Hinchey benefitting from a perfectly executed grubber kick by Russell-Smith.
However, the Tigers fought back with two tries of their own in the first half, requiring Storm to step up in the second half.
Mitch Jennings, a standout player for Storm this season, once again showed his brilliance by slicing through the Tigers' defense and equalizing the score just two minutes into the second half.
