Feeder report: Finals Week Two

Despite their strong end of season form, the Sunshine Coast Falcons were unable to continue their winning streak in the semi-final against the CQ Capras.

The Falcons, who are the Melbourne Storm's feeder club, traveled to Rockhampton for the do-or-die clash.

However, they were up against a Capras team that had the advantage of a strong home crowd.

The Falcons started the game well, scoring two penalty goals within the first five minutes.

But their defense eventually wore down, allowing the Capras to score three tries before halftime.

At the break, the Capras led 14-4.

In the second half, the Falcons struggled to find any momentum, as the Capras ran in five more tries in quick succession.

The Falcons' only consolation came in the 79th minute when Luke Polselli scored a late consolidation try.

Overall, it was a disappointing end to the Falcons' finals run, but they can take pride in making it to the semi-finals.

The game also provided an opportunity for some Storm contracted players to showcase their skills at NRL level in the Storm's Round 27 clash with the Broncos.
