The Melbourne Storm, in partnership with the NRL Voice Against Violence program and OurWatch initiative, is taking a stand against violence towards women and children.
Through the Stand Up, Speak Out initiative, the Storm is using its platform to raise awareness and prevent violence in the community.
The OurWatch initiative was presented to Storm and NRL Victoria staff, while the Voice against Violence program has been delivered to Storm's junior pathway programs and the broader Victorian rugby league community.
Former NRL player Alan Tongue, an ambassador for the Voice against Violence program, presented alongside former Storm player Ryan Hoffman to Storm's Jersey Flegg squad.
Together, they taught the importance of respect and equality to the next generation of talent.
The program aims to foster empowerment and responsibility, encouraging individuals to stand up, speak out, and take action to prevent violence.
