The Melbourne Storm are reportedly set to keep Marion Seve for the upcoming 2026 NRL season.
The centre and winger currently lacks a contract for the next season and was primarily positioned on the periphery of Melbourne's first-grade lineup throughout 2025.
Throughout much of his career, Seve has found himself in this role, having debuted in 2019 and played a total of 51 games since then.
However, this won't prevent the outside back from remaining in Melbourne next year, as News Corp has indicated he has secured a twelve-month extension.
In 2025, he participated in just four games primarily as injury cover, and he is expected to continue being behind players like Will Warbrick, Jack Howarth, Nick Meaney, and Xavier Coates throughout 2026.
Additionally, he and another player on the fringe of Melbourne's 17 in 2025 will be receiving new contracts, with Vaalepu in particular expected to assume a more significant role next season.
This comes as New Zealand international Nelson Asofa-Solomona is set to leave the club, and Tui Kamaikamica is also likely to depart after being offered a minimum value deal by the organization.
