The Melbourne Storm successfully hosted its second annual NRL Victoria Female Footy Festival at Seabrook Reserve in Broadmeadows, achieving record attendance.
Over 1,500 participants engaged in both league tag and tackle formats, marking a significant milestone for female participation in rugby league in Victoria.
The festival featured more than 60 teams from across the state, with ages ranging from Under-8 girls to open women's categories.
The packed event saw over 30 games played, highlighting impressive talent in the sport.
Melbourne Storm Female Pathways Manager Pauline Poloai emphasized that the festival represents a major advance in the development of female rugby league in the state.
