The Melbourne Storm, known for their incredible opening game winning streak of 19 years, will face a tough challenge in 2024 as they start their season against defending premiers Penrith.

The team's NRL draw snapshot reveals that while they have the advantage of playing four of their first five games at home, they will also have to endure plenty of road trips in the latter part of the season, with only two of their final seven games at AAMI Park.

The Storm will face tough competition, playing all of their fellow 2023 top-four sides, including the Panthers, Broncos, and Warriors twice during the regular season, along with other formidable opponents such as the Knights and Roosters.

They will also have to navigate five-day turnarounds and travel requirements for crucial games against the Sea Eagles, Rabbitohs, and Cowboys.

Despite these challenges, the Storm will have the opportunity to rest and reset with a bye following their tough trip to Newcastle in Round 3.
