The Melbourne Storm have locked in their versatile outside back Nick Meaney for another two seasons, keeping him on the team until the end of 2026.

Meaney, a key player in the club's backline, stepped up last season when Ryan Papenhuyzen was out and has seamlessly transitioned into the centres this year.

Meaney, who has played in multiple positions including fullback, wing, centre, and five-eighth during his time at the Storm, has notched up 52 games for the club since making the move from the Newcastle Knights and Canterbury Bulldogs.

"Moving to Melbourne has been a game-changer for me, both on and off the field," Meaney stated in a club release.

"I've quickly felt at home here at the club and in Melbourne.

My family and I have settled in nicely, and I'm thrilled to have my future secured with the Storm until 2026."
