Reimis Smith, a talented rugby league player for the Melbourne Storm, is hoping that his performance in the team's finals campaign will secure him a spot in the New Zealand Kiwis squad for the upcoming Pacific Championships.

Despite missing out on the World Cup last year due to injuries, Smith has represented the Junior Kiwis and the Maori All Stars, and was even selected in an extended New Zealand squad in 2018.

However, he is yet to make his Test debut.

Smith, who usually plays at right centre, will be lining up on the left wing for the Storm in their preliminary final against Penrith.

His combination with wing sensation Will Warbrick has been successful, and both players are aiming for a call-up to the Kiwis squad.

Warbrick, a former Olympic gold medallist with the All Blacks Sevens team, is competing with several other players for a wing position, but the Kiwis have fewer options in the centres.

Both Smith and Warbrick are eager to showcase their skills on the international stage and represent their country in the Pacific Championships.
