Storm Coach Critiques Team's Lackluster Defense

Melbourne Storm's coach Craig Bellamy has delivered a harsh critique of his team's defense following their fourth consecutive defeat.

In a dominant display, the New Zealand Warriors overwhelmed the Storm, employing a mix of fierce hits and strong defense to secure a 38-14 win at AAMI Park.

Bellamy remarked that the team "may as well of went to the pub" rather than attempt to elevate their game to match the Warriors' tenacity.

During the post-match conference, Bellamy was candid about his discontent with the team's performance.

"We did a lot of work on the defence this week and may as well went to the pub and had a couple of beers," he commented.

Such lackluster performance is uncharacteristic for Melbourne, a club known for its ability to outclass opponents for the past twenty years.

The Warriors have now provided a blueprint for the rest of the league on how to face the Storm, showcasing aggression and determination in every play.

With consecutive losses to teams like Brisbane, North Queensland, and Penrith, the Storm must reevaluate and refine their defensive strategies to regain their footing.

"There's a lot of things going wrong so at the end of the day we've got to have a good hard look at ourselves," Bellamy acknowledged.
