Salford has since welcomed Russell and Whitehead to their squad, addressing their current needs.

He will remain with Salford for the remainder of the season.
Whitehead, who has made 28 appearances for Warrington since his debut in 2022 and experienced several loan moves, has agreed to an initial four-week loan with Salford.
